DeWALT DCB548-XJ is a high capacity lithium-ion battery pack which is suitable for all 18 volt XR and 54 volt XR Flexvolt systems. DeWALT 54 volt Flexvolt is the new DeWALT dual voltage system. A 54 volt Tool can only use 54 volt batteries, however your new DeWALT 54 volt Flexvolt battery is fully compatible with all DeWALT 18 volt Li-ion Power Tools as it is capable of stepping into 18 volt mode for this purpose.
