Features

The Beta 1497SS Self-Locking Pliers are a specialized automotive and electrical tool used to clamp, align, and hold two tinned electrical wires perfectly steady during the soldering process.
Soldering wires together typically requires a ""third hand"" because you need one hand to hold the soldering iron and another to feed the solder wire. The Beta 1497SS solves this by acting as a mechanical jig, firmly clamping both sides of the wire splice so you can work with total precision.

Comes With

Upper Retaining Clips: The tops of the jaws feature dedicated, spring-loaded clips designed specifically to grip the insulated sections of two opposing wires. This positions the stripped, tinned ends directly facing each other so they overlap perfectly for the solder joint.
Built-in Adjustable Rack: The tool incorporates a central adjustable rack that allows you to lock the distance and alignment of the wires in 6 different positions. This provides the flexibility to bring the wires closer or pull them taut depending on the thickness of the insulation or access limits.
Self-Locking Stability: Once you clamp the wires in place, the pliers lock themselves shut with a gripping force of up to 10 kg. This completely isolates the splice from vibrations, preventing ""cold solder joints"" caused by accidental finger movement while the molten tin is cooling down.
