Features

The Beta 1691MG/8 Measuring Tape (8m) is a professional-grade metric tape measure primarily used for long-distance calculations, layout drafting, and solo metalworking layout tasks.
The defining ""MG"" feature is an array of fixed magnets built straight into the hook tip. This allows a single operator to lock the end of the tape securely onto steel studs, iron pipes, or metal beams and walk backward up to 8 meters without needing a second person to hold the hook.

Applications

Vertical and Overhead Work: Anchoring the magnetic hook to drop-ceiling tracks, metal ductwork, or framing plates, preventing the blade from slipping and dropping down.
General Construction & Drywall: Drawing out floor layouts, measuring wall framing spaces, and verifying drywall sheet cutaways.

Comes With

Anti-Bending Magnet Design: The powerful magnetic tip keeps the steel blade tightly pulled and completely flat against the metal surface anchor, eliminating measurement errors caused by sag, bow, or tape flex.
Bi-Material Shockproof Casing: The shell is molded from a combination of rigid ABS plastic overlaid with shock-absorbing rubber padding. This structure handles drops onto hard concrete floors without cracking the housing or jarring the internal spring tape recoil system.
