Product Information

Beta 8097 D10-3-Chain Sling EN818-4 2Legs 3m

lifting chain sling, 2 legs with clevis grab hooks, grade 8

Features

• The Beta 8097 D10-3 (Manufacturer Code: 080970053) is a high-capacity, professional-grade 2-leg overhead lifting chain sling from Beta's heavy-duty Robur rigging line. It is explicitly designed for overhead rigging, heavy crane lifting, and balanced material handling of substantial industrial payloads.
• This specific variant is engineered to safely hoist a Working Load Limit (WLL) of up to 4.25 Tonnes (4,250 kg) when operated at a standard rigging angle between 0° and 45°. It is heavily relied upon by crane operators, industrial riggers, and shipyard workers to safely balance large, off-center equipment without letting the payload tilt or spin.

Specifications

• 8097: Designates the dual-leg Grade 8 alloy steel chain sling configuration outfitted with integrated shortening components.
• D10: Indicates a thick 10 mm nominal chain link diameter, certifying it for heavy commercial tonnages where thinner 7mm or 8mm chains are inadequate.
• 3: Defines the 3-metre total effective working length of each individual chain leg, providing ample reach for tall, deep, or broad payloads.
• EN818-4: Guarantees strict manufacturing compliance with European safety standards regulating welded multi-leg chain slings used for overhead crane operations.

Applications

• Asymmetrical & Off-Balance Leveling: The defining feature of this sling is the inclusion of integrated clevis grab (shortening) hooks. If you are lifting an unevenly weighted object (like a heavy marine engine, large pump housing, or structural steel bundle), a rigger can shorten either 3-metre leg link-by-link to keep the overall payload perfectly level during hoist transitions.
• Self-Locking Lower Safety Hooks: The lower end of each leg features robust, high-strength safety hooks that automatically snap shut and lock under load tension. This locking feature eliminates any risk of accidental cable slippage while suspended in mid-air.
• Industrial Durability: Assembled using high-tensile alloy steel with a 4:1 safety factor rating, it resists stretching and wear. It is designed to function flawlessly under intensive daily cycles at full load without deformation across a temperature range of -40°C to +200°C.
• Traceable Metal Tag: Features a mandatory stamped metal identification tag detailing the specific WLL, serial numbers, and material grade so safety officers can effortlessly pass job site rig audits.

Comes With

• High-Tensile Grade 8 Construction: Manufactured out of high-strength alloy steels, this sling is built specifically for intensive, continuous, and repeated heavy-duty use at maximum capacity without stretching or warping.
• Clevis Grab Hooks: The legs are fitted with heavy-duty grab hooks that securely clutch directly onto the chain links, making it easy to shorten a leg or create tight choke chains.
• Wide Temperature Resilience: Engineered to function flawlessly in extreme environments without any alteration to its mechanical traits, maintaining full performance across a temperature spectrum of -40°C to +200°C.
• Certified Safety Infrastructure: The kit adheres strictly to the UNI EN 818-4 standard and boasts a 4:1 safety factor. It comes equipped with a mandatory, durable chain-sling identification tag to display the Working Load Limit (WLL) for rigging safety checks.
