The Beta 8097/G10 D6-2 (Manufacturer Code: 080971002) is a premium, lightweight, high-capacity 2-leg overhead lifting chain sling from Beta's high-performance Robur lifting and rigging line. It is explicitly engineered for overhead rigging, heavy crane hoisting, and balanced material handling of industrial payloads.
Manufactured in strict compliance with advanced European Technical Standards (EN 818-4), this Grade 10 (G10) system is rated to safely hoist a maximum Working Load Limit (WLL) of up to 2.0 Tonnes (2,000 kg) when operated at a standard rigging angle between 0° and 45°.

Specifications

8097/G10: Designates premium Grade 10 alloy steel construction. Compared to standard Grade 8 configurations, G10 chain slings weigh an average of 30% less for the exact same load capacity, drastically optimizing operational efficiency and handling comfort.
D6: Indicates a highly compact 6 mm nominal chain link diameter, providing a sleek, lightweight profile without sacrificing extreme tensile strength.
2: Defines the 2-metre total effective working length of each individual chain leg stretching from the master link down to the lower hooks.

Applications

Asymmetrical & Off-Balance Leveling: The core defining feature of this sling is the integration of high-strength clevis grab (shortening) hooks. If you are hoisting an off-center or unevenly weighted component (like an offset machinery block, pump, or asymmetrical chassis), a rigger can shorten either 2-metre leg link-by-link to keep the overall payload perfectly level and stable.
Self-Locking Lower Safety Hooks: The lower end of each leg features robust safety hooks that automatically snap shut and lock securely under the weight tension of the load. This mechanical lock prevents any accidental slips or unhooking while the payload is suspended in mid-air.
Wear-Resistant, Heavy-Duty Duty Cycles: Engineered to support more than 20,000 working cycles at full load, it resists stretching, wear, and structural deformation over long service lifetimes.
Traceable Safety Tag: Includes a mandatory stamped metal identification tag detailing the specific WLL, serial numbers, and material grade so safety officers can effortlessly pass job site rigging audits.
