One of Makita's most powerful planers - The KP001G is designed for the professional user with it's amazing capability of planing up to a depth of 4mm on a single pass with a planing width of 82mm using its 2-blade cutter head that has double edge carbide blades for a smoother finish.
Operating under Makita's 40Vmax range means this planer is powered by Makita's high-performance 40Vmax batteries. The KP001G delivers up to 15,000rpm with a 1,100W maximum output and has soft start technology to ensure smooth planing on both rough and thin planning applications whilst the brushless motor requires less maintenance and increases the run time of each battery.
You can easily adjust the depth of your cut using the knob fitted to the front of the planer and for user safety the KP001G has a lock-off function to prevent accidental start-up and has an electric brake that quickly stops the planer after releasing the trigger.
The KP001G is compatible with Makita's Auto-start Wireless System (AWS) that connects to suitable dust extractors to synchronise the running of the planer with the dust extractor/vacuum through bluetooth via an AWS wireless chip (not supplied).
This KP001GD201 kit is supplied with two 2.5Ah 40Vmax batteries and a rapid-charger so you can get to work straight out of the box - The MakPac type 3 connector box.
